We receive no funding from the Somaliland government, any political party, or foreign governments. Our editorial decisions are made solely by our journalists and editors.

Yes, Somaliland NTV is completely free to access — no paywall, no subscription required. We believe quality journalism about Somaliland should be accessible to everyone, especially diaspora communities who rely on us to stay connected to home.

Our primary publication language is English to reach both local educated readers and the international community. We publish selected key stories in Somali (af-Soomaali) and are actively expanding our Somali-language journalism in 2026, with a dedicated Somali section planned for Q4 2026.

Every story we publish goes through a multi-step verification process: source confirmation (minimum two independent sources for major claims), document review where available, official statement cross-referencing, and editorial review by a senior editor before publication. We follow the principles of the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN).
